Kirito starts Episode 1 near the spawn, marked with green overhead text. He sends you to the plains, teaches a wolf parry, points you north, and meets you again in Tolbana for the violet incidents. He fights with you at the north-plains scar.

Talk to him when the blue story marker is on him.
If you cannot find the next episode, look for his green name before you wander into high-level wasps.
You keep the character level you already reached, and the experience bar toward the next level returns to zero. You respawn in a town. Optional Permanent Death mode is a separate ruleset in which death deletes the character.
On a keyboard, press O to toggle first person and third person. The experience page lists PC, console, mobile, and tablet. In-game key remapping is reported as unavailable.
The Codes screen and the in-game cog menu are both documented, but no working code string and no expired code string were published as of October 17, 2026. Do not type placeholder words.
Player trading of Col and items is reported to unlock at character level 5. Below that level the trade menu does not complete a transfer.
The weapon has to be drawn first. Press Q. If the blade is sheathed, left click does not damage the target. Third person makes the sheath state easier to see.
